ProductsMy Client, a leading subsea oil service company, is looking to recruit a Controls Engineer .
Responsibilities:
*Integrate the controls equipment on the Xmas tree .
*Writing scope of supply document.
*Make the XT P&ID, controls scope of supply drawing (the actual drawing will be done by designers, and no experience with drawing tools is required), make bill of materials (in IMAN), interface meetings with clients and follow up of manufacturing of the controls equipment .
*Get information from client documents and/or interface meetings to be used to create component specifications for manufacturing/purchase of the different components.
Experience:
*Requires a general experience with controls equipment and XT, with a focus on hydraulic issues.
*This position will not require a detailed/expert knowledge in topside control system, subsea control module or communication systems etc., but general controls knowledge is expected.
*Exposure to working on both Topside and Subsea Projects. Responsibilities:The topsides controls will primarily support the design , testing, installation , pre- commissioning & commissioning of Hydraulic Power Units (HPU) & Electrical Power Unit (EPU) for the project including the following activities:
1. Provide guidance to the detail design of HPU & EPU
2. Provide interface with Integrated Controls Focal Point & Subsea Controls Focal Point.
3. Review procedure & documentations related to testing & development of HPU & EPU
4. Track progress of vendors & contractors.
5. Act as Focal Point for all correspondence, testing witness, meetings & other team members for their interface needs.
6. Be responsible for installation of all platform-installed component of subsea controls in the fabrication yard, offshore pre- commissioning & commissioning support .
